Midterms Week Reminder, You’re Doing Better Than You Think

Midterms week can feel like a lot.

Between studying, projects, exams, and everything else going on in life, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or like you’re constantly trying to catch up. Around this time of the semester, many students also start thinking about internships, jobs, or what comes after graduation, which can sometimes add even more pressure.

If that’s how you’re feeling right now, you’re not alone.

The truth is, midterms are demanding, and focusing on getting through your classes right now is already a big accomplishment. Every exam you prepare for, every project you complete, and every late-night study session is helping you build skills that matter far beyond the classroom.

Sometimes during a busy week like this, it can also help to take a short break and do something small that reconnects you to your bigger goals. Career development doesn’t have to happen all at once; it’s usually built through small steps over time.

If you happen to have a few minutes between study sessions, that could look like:

  • Browsing Handshake to see internships or events coming up later this semester
  • Uploading your resume to VMock to get quick feedback
  • Updating a small section of your LinkedIn profile
  • Saving a workshop or career event you might want to attend in the future

None of these things are urgent, and they definitely don’t need to happen during midterms week. But sometimes doing one small thing can help you feel a little more in control of what’s ahead.

Most importantly, give yourself credit for the effort you’re putting in right now. Midterms require focus, resilience, and persistence, qualities that will serve you well in your future career.

So, if this week feels stressful, take it one step at a time. Focus on what’s in front of you, take breaks when you need them, and remember:

You’re doing better than you think.

Good luck this week, Broncos.
