Our goal is to empower all students by offering access to career-related guidance, organizations, and opportunities for professional growth. Curated Resources

  • Spectra – Welcome to the website for LGBTQ+ mathematicians and their allies. This arose from a need for recognition and community for Gender and Sexual Minority mathematicians, and we hope that this will be a resource for our community. Check back as our organization grows and evolves!
  • Transequality.org – This resource outlines the rights and procedures transgender employees have to address discrimination.
  • Pride At Work – We aim to educate the LGBTQ Community about the benefits of a union contract for LGBTQ working people, and to build support and solidarity for the union movement in the LGBTQ community.
  • oSTEM – oSTEM empowers LGBTQ+ people in STEM to succeed personally, academically, and professionally by cultivating environments and communities that nurture innovation, leadership, and advocacy

  • Pride Center – The Pride Center provides education, advocacy, support and a safe space for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and the broader queer and gender expansive communities (LGBTQIA+) at Cal Poly Pomona.
  • Pride Center Resource List – Check out this list compiled by the pride center staff for assistive and informational resources on local LGBTQIA+ centers, health, and finances.

  • Human Rights Campaign – Check out this list of scholarships, fellowships and grants for LGBTQIA+ and allied students at both the undergraduate and graduate-level.
  • On Our Own Guide – This guide is designed to help LGBTQIA+ youth who aren’t able to rely on their parents or guardians for financial support.
  • Trans Lifeline – Trans Lifeline is a grassroots hotline and microgrants 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offering direct emotional and financial support to trans people in crisis – for the trans community, by the trans community.
  • The Trevor Project – The Trevor Project is the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention nonprofit organization for LGBTQIA+ young people. We provide information & support to LGBTQIA+ 
young people 24/7, all year round.
