Meet & Greet with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Make a difference in our world, at the nation’s oldest technical research university! Come study at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where students, faculty, and alumni have been shaping scientific and technological advances for 200 years. Join a legacy of changemakers confronting the most pressing problems facing humanity and our planet. Alex Englander, Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will be hosting a Lunch & Learn on Thursday, October 17 from 12 PM to 1:00 PM to learn more about this vaunted institution and how you can become part of its fabric. This won’t be your normal graduate school recruiting event; this is something different. We are turning off the PowerPoint and talking to you, the student about where you want to go and how we can help you achieve your goals. Students are encouraged to bring questions and an appetite. Both answers and food will be served. Finally, all attendees will receive an application fee waiver and some great swag. With over 40 master’s and PhD level programs, RPI students are building the future. They are conducting cutting-edge research into sustainable building materials, Alzheimer’s disease, Covid-19, and uncovering the mysteries of the ocean. We are reaching for the stars, performing experiments onboard the International Space Station, and one RPI alum is preparing to command the next manned mission to the moon. We are a leader in Computer Science, and home to the only IBM Quantum One Computer located at any university in the world. We are a leader in Biomedical Engineering, sitting at the cutting edge of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. RPI is home to the Experimental Performing Arts Center (EMPAC), where research into the arts, science, and humanities collide. Located on the banks of the Hudson River in historic Troy, New York, RPI offers a bucolic setting for students to expand their knowledge by conducting innovative research with award winning professors, which will enhance the human condition and better our planet.
