Human Resources Intern
We are seeking a HR Intern who will be responsible for utilizing different channels to search for potential – qualified candidates and help to build talent pipelines for our open requisitions. You will source talent for the world’s largest provider of automated test equipment (ATE) in the semiconductor industry. A key element for this position is the ability to attract highly competitive and experienced candidates to join our team.
You will provide support to the Advantest America Inc. Human Resources function in the areas of HRIS/Compensation/Benefits, Staffing/Employment. Responsibilities include multitude of activities such as sourcing and screening candidates, acting as a consultant to Hiring Managers throughout the hiring process, and providing detailed assessments for candidates and recommending offer amounts using internal pay ranges and processes.
Intern Job Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate resumes within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Assist HR in understanding available positions and their requirements.
- Participate in pre-screening calls under guidance to learn how to assess applicants’ abilities.
- Help develop sourcing strategies, including networking, career fairs, job postings, and employee referrals.
- Learn to use and update the applicant tracking system (ADP Recruiting Management).
- Assist in scheduling candidate interviews with HR and hiring managers.
- Draft and send personalized recruiting emails to passive candidates under supervision.
- Provide regular updates to HR teams on recruiting activities.
- Assist with new employee onboarding when needed.
- Perform other admin duties as assigned.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Interest in recruiting and talent acquisition.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- Eagerness to learn ATS systems and recruiting tools.
- Professionalism in written and verbal communication.
