Join the Team: Social Media College Intern (Phoenix, AZ)
Are you a storyteller, graphic designer, social media enthusiast, and community-minded creator? The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) is looking for a driven Social Media College Intern to join our Agency Support Division at the Phoenix, Arizona office.
This isn’t your average internship. You will get hands-on experience in law enforcement communications, collaborate with public safety professionals, and help shape how AZDPS connects with millions of people across Arizona.
What You’ll Do:
Create & Connect: Craft engaging, multimedia content that highlights inspiring stories from the field.
Build Community: Strengthen the bond between the HR & Aviation units and the communities we protect.
Drive the Mission: Support public safety awareness and recruitment efforts across our major digital platforms.
Learn & Evaluate: Work directly with our Communications and Public Affairs Unit to analyze content performance and strategy.
Who This Is For: This position is specifically designed to provide a rich educational experience for current college students pursuing careers in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related fields.
We understand the demands of a student schedule and offer flexibility to create a working routine that balances both your academic needs and team operations. To qualify for a DPS internship, candidates must be currently enrolled in school and available to work between 10 and 19.9 hours per week.
Because this internship is housed within a Department of Public Safety, applicants are held to a much higher standard than a typical corporate internship. Applicants must successfully pass a background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening.
