The Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering Department is organized, capable and motivated students to aid in the grading of assignments. Under the supervision of the course’s instructors. The Student Graders are responsible for the following primary duties:
· Support instructional faculty in grading student homework assignments.
· Grader will access student work via the Canvas learning management system.
· Grader will provide students with feedback on homework assignments and record grades within Canvas.
· Grader will maintain a master copy of student grades independent of Canvas as a measure of redundancy.
· Grader will maintain communication with an instructor on a weekly basis.
· Hours are flexible as long as grade deadlines are met for each assignment, as agreed upon by the instructor.
The requirements listed below include the equipment and knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
1. Education/Experience
· Senior level students.
· Currently enrolled at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona
· Not currently taking a course under the instruction of the requesting instructors.
· Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required
2. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities required
· Proficient with most IME 3000 level courses.
· Skilled in both written and verbal communication in English
· Able to provide students with constructive feedback on their assignments
· Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision is preferred.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks and assignments to meet deadlines/due dates
· Detail-oriented and willing to provide feedback on graded assignments
