We’re looking for robot teleoperators to contribute directly to training the next generation of AI systems. This is a paid, flexible, part-time opportunity where you’ll work with Instawork’s robotics team while gaining hands-on exposure to one of the fastest-growing areas in AI.

What You’ll Do

  • Record Daily Tasks: Use provided recording equipment to capture everyday indoor activities such as cooking, cleaning, organizing, folding laundry, and washing dishes while following project instructions.
  • Follow Recording Guidelines: Ensure proper lighting, framing, and phone orientation so recordings are usable for machine learning training.
  • Log Your Hours: Track your recording time weekly and submit for payment.

Who You Are

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Available to record at least 20 hours of data per week
  • Detail-oriented (high attention-to-detail) and comfortable following structured instructions
  • Interest in AI, robotics, machine learning, or computer vision
  • Have a “do what it takes” attitude
  • Reliable and willing to work through challenges to deliver high-quality results

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data collection, robotics, other technical work
  • Experience with VR headsets or other wearable technology
  • Experience working with technology or research projects

What You’ll Gain

  • Competitive Pay: Paid $30/hr with weekly payments
  • Flexible Schedule: Record whenever it fits your schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Hands-On AI Experience: Contribute directly to datasets used for robotics and embodied AI research
  • Resume Builder: Gain experience working with a venture-backed technology company at the forefront of AI and robotics
  • No Experience Required: We provide all equipment, onboarding, and training
