Are you a Structural Engineering student who flourishes when part of a cohesive team where collaboration and ideas flow freely? Do you want to work for a firm that is taking concrete action toward equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace? Lionakis is currently seeking engineering students to participate in our 2026 EP (Emerging Professionals) Summer Internship Program. Student Interns will be assigned to our Sacramento office within our Structural Engineering studio. Applicants must be current students working towards an accredited degree in a related field (as listed below) to be considered.

As the Student Intern, you will…

  • Provide engineering support for projects with calculations, spreadsheets, and computer analysis using basic knowledge of construction materials.
  • Provide Revit support utilizing Revit/BIM software to assist with creating construction documents.
  • Support coordination of project design and construction process.
  • Provide administrative support to the studio.

The Must-Haves (Required)

  • Must be a current student pursuing an ABET-accredited degree in either civil, architectural, structural engineering or related field with a minimum of:
  • Three (3) years of college/university coursework completed
  • 3.0 G.P.A.
  • Completion of engineering statics and mechanics courses

The Like-to-Haves (Not Required)

  • Basic knowledge of MS Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Basic experience with Revit.
