Financial Analyst (Part-Time)

Company: Rabine LLC

Location: Remote while part-time; On-site in Schaumburg, IL while full-time
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Classification: Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $15-20/hr

Job Description

Summary/Objective

The Financial Analyst supports analytical projects that help solve business issues and improve the organization’s financial performance. This role is designed for a current student (graduating next May) or recent graduate who wants hands-on FP&A, job costing, and financial reporting experience while finishing their degree, with a clear path to a full-time position upon graduation. Essential functions include data management, financial planning & analysis, job costing, financial reporting, and process analysis, with responsibility and independence expected to grow over time.

Essential Functions

  • Help aggregate data and build models that analyze the financial and operational impact of business decisions, and assist in presenting findings to business leaders.
  • Support detailed financial variance analysis on monthly financial statements, helping interpret results for business leaders.
  • Assist with the job costing & WIP process in collaboration with the operations team for each business.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and help maintain quarterly financial forecasts in collaboration with business leaders of each organization.
  • Help build and maintain KPI dashboards that track performance across all entities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting Monthly Business Reviews with company leadership, helping translate financials into actionable insights for the operations team.
  • Support the CFO in assembling quarterly board meeting packages, including consolidated financial statements and supporting analysis.

Note: Scope of responsibility will expand as the analyst gains experience and transitions to full-time.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with an expected graduation date of May 2027 (or recent graduate).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with the broader Office 365 suite a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to independently drive projects to completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting information to others.
  • Ability to commit to a part-time schedule while in school, with availability to transition to full-time upon graduation.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role. This role requires the individual to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. This role requires the individual to make substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers often. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and/or extensive reading.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Part-time, 10-15 hours per week to start. Potential to convert to full-time upon graduation.
