Bronco CareerWorks connects Cal Poly Pomona students to real jobs and internships

The Cal Poly Pomona Career Center is excited to introduce Bronco CareerWorks, a new on-campus offering created in partnership with Ultimate Staffing to bring more paid, career-aligned opportunities to both students and alumni. Through Bronco CareerWorks, students can explore internships, short-term roles, and full-time positions in their field of study. The program builds on classroom learning by giving students real-world experience that helps them become by doing.

How do I get started?

Current students can request an appointment with Bronco CareerWorks through the inquiry form. 

  • Fill out the Bronco CareerWorks Inquiry Form
  • Allow five business days to process your request
  • You will receive a follow-up email once your form is processed

Alumni can request an appointment with Bronco CareerWorks through the appointment request form:

  • Fill out the Alumni: Bronco CareerWorks Appointment Request Form
  • Allow five business days to process your request
  • Once your form is processed, a Bronco CareerWorks follow-up email will be sent

How Bronco CareerWorks Helps You

Bronco CareerWorks is designed to support you no matter where you are in your college journey. You’ll work with the CPP Career Center and on-campus recruiters to:

  • Find jobs and internships related to your major or interests
  • Gain real-world experience while you’re still in school
  • Explore career options without needing to have everything figured out
  • Build professional skills and confidence
  • Get guidance throughout the job search process

No. Bronco CareerWorks is open to current students at all class levels as well as CPP alumni.

No. Students from all majors and disciplines can utilize Bronco CareerWorks. Recruiters are not just looking at your major but focusing on your skills, interests, and goals.

Ensure you’ve filled out the appropriate student or alumni appointment request form.

Complete the pre-work request of you.  This may include updating resume documents. 

Know what type of employment you’re looking for, including:

  • Internship, part-time, or full-time work
  • Industry, department, and role interests
  • Modes: remote, onsite, or hybrid
  • How many hours per week you are available to work
  • Regions of interest, openness to relocating
  • Hourly and/or salary expectations
  • Potential start date

The Career Center remains your primary career support. Bronco CareerWorks expands services by adding on-campus recruiters and increasing access to employment opportunities.

Career fairs are one-day events. Bronco CareerWorks provides ongoing, year-round support. You can connect with recruiters, get guidance, and explore opportunities over time.
